We are seeking applicants for the role of Research Scientist – Behavioural Science. We are currently seeking to appoint a team member to backfill one of our scientists on extended leave.
As the Research Scientist – Behavioural Science, you will conduct innovative research leading to achievements that are aligned with CSIRO’s strategies around improving the health and wellbeing of Australians. You will provide specialised expertise to projects of the Public Health and Wellbeing group, within the Human Health Program. Our research focusses on health and wellbeing issues relevant to the Australian community and you will be part of a team leveraging their science knowledge to have real world and visible impact.
The Behavioural Science Team focusses on core strategic science areas including Wellbeing, Community Resilience and Trust, and Health Behaviour Change. As a scientist in this Team, you will apply your experience in these areas, or general knowledge of psychology, public health or implementation science to projects in these spaces.
We are based on Adelaide, but can accommodate remote arrangements for interested candidates from interstate.
Location: Adelaide, SA preferred, other locations considered
Salary: AU$114K – AU$123K pa + 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified term until 30 June 2026
