Exciting opportunity for an Optometry student to receive technical and professional development and future progression within HCF.
The Role
As an Optometry Student, you will be working closely with our Optometrists and experienced Dispensers. You will assist patients with the selection of their frames and optical lenses, interpret optical prescriptions and provide excellent customer service.
This role is ideal if you are an Optometry student passionate about eye care, eyewear fashion and enjoy working with people in a busy environment.
This is a casual role with flexible hours. You must be available to travel and work at various HCF Eyecare Centres around Sydney, based on needs.
Responsibilities:
• interpret optical prescriptions
• provide fashion and practical advice to assist customers in selecting frames
• Assist with and make recommendations on optical lenses
• patient care management
• assisting on reception when required
• keeping patient records up to date.
About You
Ideally, you will be a second or third year Optometry student with some optical experience. You must be available to work on Saturdays and during university holidays.
You will have:
• experience in the optical industry
• excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
• a passion for fashion and optometry
• a positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
