Workday System Specialist


The Workday System Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and configuration of all modules within our Workday system. The role will provide end user support (Level 1), complex issue resolution and troubleshooting integrations (Level 2) and deliver change and enhancement requests (Level 3). The role will upskill and train team members and internal support staff (including IT Service Desk) on Workday Administration. The role may also be required to support Workday related projects and cover other team member roles as required.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve support tickets (Levels 1, 2 and 3) ensuring SLAs are met
  • Escalate and work with Managed Services Support team to resolve complex support tickets (Levels 3)
  • Build, test and deploy changes and enhancements in accordance with change and release processes to meet evolving business requirements and drive system optimisation and best practice
  • Configure business processes and workflows in compliance with company policies, government regulations and audit compliance
  • Provide input to help share HCF’s Workday Roadmap to drive operational excellence and outstanding employee experience
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify development areas and provide technical solutions
  • Undertake regular auditing of information to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Build high quality reports and analysis as required, including visual dashboards
  • Provide Workday subject matter expertise
  • Support less experienced members of the team in solving tickets and queries
  • Create targeted knowledge article and FAQs for IT Service Desk, Self-Service, AI chatbots to be utilised in all available support channels such as Self Service Portal, SharePoint, ITSM toolset and Workday Help.
  • Document and map Workday system processes and workflows as required
  • Lead the assessment of bi-annual releases and support approved deployment to help ensure we are making the best use of all that Workday has to offer
