CSIRO is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to lead the development and delivery of innovative HSE programs at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) in Geelong, Victoria.
ACDP is a state-of-the-art biosecurity facility, home to the largest Biosafety Level (BSL-4) laboratory in the southern hemisphere. Its research teams, including those at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory (AAHL), work to protect Australia’s public, livestock, and aquaculture industries from emerging infectious disease threats, while collaborating with global health and animal organisations.
As the HSE Manager, you’ll report to the HSE Executive Business Partner and collaborate closely with CSIRO’s operational managers and HSE advisors to achieve HSE objectives that align with the organisation’s broader goals. You’ll drive improvements in HSE outcomes and wellbeing culture, ensuring consistent delivery of initiatives across the facility and the organisation.
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible for a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance and meet ACDP’s Microbiological Security and Security Clearance requirements.

Salary: AU$131,113 - AU$153,639 pa + up to 15.4% superannuation
