    • Specialist Psychologist: $109,631 - $134,446 pa

Your role 

As a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, you'll deliver trauma-informed psychological care to women in custody, working within a multidisciplinary team to reduce reoffending and support reintegration.

What you’ll do 

  • Conduct psychological assessments and individual interventions
  • Facilitate group-based rehabilitation programs
  • Provide expert consultation to staff on mental health, trauma, and risk (including sexual and violent offender assessment)
  • Collaborate on behaviour support and case planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation in OIMS and psychology files
  • Prepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies (e.g. Parole Authority, Mental Health Review Tribunal)
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and networking opportunities

What we’re looking for 

We’re looking for a passionate, ethical, and dedicated psychologist who:

  • Wants to work with vulnerable and underserved communities
  • Has interest or experience in trauma, forensic risk, cognitive impairment, or behavioural interventions
  • Works well in complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Is committed to evidence-based, client-centred practice

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 4-year accredited psychology qualification
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (provisional applicants welcome to apply – we offer supervision)
  • Driver’s Licence: willingness to travel as required
