Project Engineer


Ventia has been awarded a five-year partnership with Telstra to provide lifecycle management and fixed network services for Telstra’s digital infrastructure.


Ventia’s Telecommunication Team is searching for a Project Engineer / Project Lead to assist operations. Candidates nationwide are welcome to apply. The role will support on the delivery of with required quality output from a design and construct principle. It is essential that you have construction project management exposure (telecommunications is advantageous), strong communication and stakeholder management as well as sound computer skills, to be able to deliver on the accountabilities of this role.

About the Role


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

•    Build healthy relationships with various project stakeholders
•    Ensuring processes and procedures in the Management Plans are followed, including all aspects of safety and quality

•    Build project quotes and present to client

•    Build and maintain project schedules

•    Collaborate with Design, Land Access and Field teams to ensure successful project outcomes
•    Manage project costs and revenue 
•    Manage commercial process in Ventia and Client systems
•    Product timely and accurate monthly expenditure forecasts and claim sheets 
•    Manage all aspects of materials for projects 
•    Produce weekly and monthly reports on project progress and status
•    Report on delays, devise and action related risk mitigation actions.
•    Review and submit correct project completion documentation in a timely manner

Required Skills and Experience


To be successful in your application your experience will ideally include:
•    3+ years of project management experience (in Telecommunications Construction will be advantageous)

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills

•    Strong stakeholder management

•    Subcontract management
•    Confident scheduler and resource management
•    Proficient on MS Office Applications incl Excel Spreadsheet
