SHEQ Advisor


The Role
Ventia is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate SHEQ Advisor to join our dynamic team in Adelaide. In this key role, you’ll support the implementation and improvement of SHEQ programs across operational sites, working closely with the SHEQ and Quality Managers.

You’ll serve as the primary liaison between the SHEQ Manager, operational teams, and clients, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role includes regular site visits to assess safety performance and client-facing interactions to provide updates on SHEQ initiatives. You’ll drive positive change and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within Ventia’s workforce.

The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

  • Implement the project Health and Safety objectives by conducting thorough site inspections and accurately recording the findings.
  • Working collaboratively across the contract, implement the Health and Safety management plans, emergency response and business continuity planning.
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business as required.
  • Ensure Ventia SHEQ standards are incorporated into the workplace.
  • Undertake reasonable travel intrastate and interstate as required.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Certificate IV in WHS
  • Lead Investigator training - ICAM
  • Lead Auditor qualification
  • Current Driver’s Licence
