Ventia’s environmental monitoring team have recently secured a contract to undertake compliance monitoring across a network of sites nationally. An exciting opportunity has become available for an Environmental scientist/Engineer to do groundwater monitoring work, visiting multiple sites each day to collect readings and gauge levels across predominantly across Brisbane, with some paid travel required to Sydney in the back end of the project.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Skout Solutions are helping Ventia find an Environmental Scientist/Engineer in Brisbane to join the team for a 12-week period. The role involves monitoring groundwater on a variety of sites in Brisbane. It is important that you are adept at working and problem solving independently as work will be undertaken solo. We’re also looking for the following skills and experience:
- Environmental Scientist/Engineer or skilled trades background
- Ability to work Temporarily for 12 weeks Comfortable working outside with a willingness to travel regionally through QLD and NSW
- Anptitude for problem solving independently
- Enthusiastic to learn new tasks
- Comfortable undertaking solo work
You will need the following training requirements
- Australian Drivers Licence mandatory
- First aid mandatory
- Construction and Induction card mandatory
- WPCG training desirable
Training on health and safety protocols, as well as work procedures, will be conducted internally.
