The Role

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead, this position is responsible for carrying out quality assurance activities on behalf of the Snowy 2.0 Owner’s Team. The primary focus of the role is to proactively ensure that all aspects of the project’s delivery meet the required standards and specifications through the implementation of comprehensive quality assurance programs. This is a site-based position, working on a 14:7 FIFO roster.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Report to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead, ensuring consistent delivery of quality assurance activities in alignment with Snowy 2.0 project standards and Employer's Requirements.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health and safety by implementing safety plans, modelling Snowy Values, and complying with SHL Health & Safety policies.
  • Support the development, coordination, and execution of the annual Audit and PCV Program, including contractor coordination, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Assist in improving QA policies, procedures, and systems across project organisations, and conduct reviews of quality documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive quality culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout all project phases, including construction, commissioning, handover, and completion.
  • Analyse inspection reports and quality performance data to identify non-conformances, track key indicators, monitor KPIs, and produce quality performance reports.
  • Manage end-to-end coordination, delivery, and administration of quality training programs to enhance capability across the project team.

What You'll Bring

A degree qualification in Engineering, along with demonstrated experience in quality control and assurance. A strong understanding of quality systems and procedures, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. By working closely with the Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead, Quality Leads, Project Managers, and contractor personnel, you contribute to the effective delivery of project quality objectives.
