The Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager for Snowy 2.0, this position is responsible for leading the project-wide quality assurance program on behalf of the Owner's team. The primary focus of the role is to proactively ensure that all phases of project delivery including offshore manufacturing, construction, site installation, testing and commissioning, handover, and completion meet the required project standards and expectations

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety, leading by example, implementing safety plans and aligning with SHL Health & Safety policies and Snowy Values.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with Employer's Requirements to avoid issues impacting Snowy 2.0's operational performance.
  • Developing, managing, and delivering the annual Audit/PCV Program, including coordination of external contractors and quality assurance resources.
  • Reviewing and assessing quality documentation, supporting QA policy and system improvements, and optimising quality tools and processes for effectiveness.
  • Providing leadership to foster a positive quality culture and promote continuous improvement across all project phases including construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality metrics and KPIs, analyse trends, and identify key indicators to prevent non-conformances.
  • Measuring overall project quality performance and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Supporting capability development through training, coaching, and mentoring of the quality team to strengthen skills and ensure program delivery.

What You'll Bring

You'll hold a degree qualification in Engineering, supported by demonstrated relevant experience and a solid understanding of quality systems and procedures. Ideally, you’ll also hold a postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Business Management, or a related field, and be a certified Lead Auditor. You’ll be proficient in BI tools, including Power BI, with strong communication and presentation skills that enable you to work effectively across diverse teams. You are comfortable working both collaboratively and independently, showing initiative and accountability in achieving outcomes - this position works closely with the Quality Manager, Quality Lead, Project Managers, and contractor personnel to support the delivery of the Quality team’s strategy.
