About the role: 
The Technical Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Growth and Planning Branch by coordinating developer negotiations, overseeing the preparation of Water Infrastructure Agreements, and ensuring precise record-keeping and reporting. This position acts as a liaison, facilitating smooth communication and workflow between Developers, and our Development Services, and Major Development teams, ensuring efficient execution of infrastructure and network requirements to meet future needs.

You will facilitate and coordinate pre-lodgement enquiries and developer negotiations to enhance Major Development outcomes, ensuring timely resolution of Water Infrastructure Agreements (WIAs) aligned with commercial, economic and strategic objectives. The role also oversees governance and compliance, managing legal agreements, contract records, and financial obligations, while ensuring adherence to regulations. The Technical Analyst also coordinates governance report preparation and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective negotiations and decision-making. Additionally, you will coordinate and input data into IT systems supporting revenue collection, financial reporting, customer relationship management, infrastructure agreements, and capital works program delivery.

  • Previous experience in project completion and handover for engineering projects and planning activities, coupled with relevant industry qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the water supply and sewerage industry or related infrastructure sectors, with expertise in infrastructure implementation and development management for large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge in project management, contract administration, cost estimation, and quality assurance.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to develop and interpret clear, precise, and well-structured technical documents such as reports, manuals, and procedural guidelines for diverse audiences
  • Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and deliver high-quality internal customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation.
