About the role:

As our Commercial Finance Manager your strategic business partnering skills and financial insight will have a significant impact on Procurement and Group Supply Chain for the Ventia organisation.

This role will provide financial insights to ensure cost efficiency and strategic value is delivered and sustained through optimisation, continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.

You will work closely with Ventia's senior leadership teams right across our diverse business, engaging with stakeholders to champion and drive commercial outcomes.

This role will form part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team working collaboratively to inform key decisions, identify opportunities for value creation and play a pivotal role delivering tangible business outcomes.

Based at our Beautiful North Sydney head office right across the road from the train station we offer a flexible work atmosphere splitting your time in the office and work from home. We would also consider basing the role from our Melbourne or Brisbane office for the right individual.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Business Partnering with the GM Group Supply Chain
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement performance analysis (benefits) and communicate results to senior management for the cost out programme.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support procurement and supply chain decision-making for category management and business work winning.
  • Provide analysis & insights into performance, including benchmarking and comparisons to drive continual improvement, identifying areas for further cost savings and efficiency improvements, in particular for procurement enablement.
  • Monthly reporting - prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
  • R&O analysis – assist in the preparation and help execute the performance of improvement plans to drive ‘better than budget’ outcomes.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., qualified CA or CPA) preferred.
  • Experience in financial analysis, knowledge of procurement and supply chain functions would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, ERP systems, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
