Communications & Change Business Partner


About the Role: 
 
The Communications and Change Business Partner will be a key player in supporting Ventia’s Infrastructure Services sector as it accelerates growth in key markets, transitions to a new operating model, and manages the acquisition and integration of an external workforce. This role will be critical in ensuring the Sector communicates effectively during a period of significant change. 
 
Reporting to the Operational Model Project Lead, this position will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and other key stakeholders to equip them with the tools, capabilities, and strategies necessary to successfully communicate change within their teams—both office and field-based—across the wider business, and with key clients. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement a clear, engaging change communications plans 
  • Provide advice and guidance on communication strategies to executives and senior leadership during organisational changes 
  • Create communication materials and coordinate key messages 
  • Develop and track the progress of communications and change plans 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, using feedback and data to refine strategies and improve future communications 
  • This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential for permanency (possibly in a part-time capacity) in the future. 
  • The role will ideally be based in Melbourne; however, we will consider candidates based in other locations, with flexible working arrangements available.

The ideal candidate will excel at building strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders and be confident working independently to make an immediate impact. 

Required Experience and Qualifications:  

  • Qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field 
  • Experience in communications and change management preferably within a transformation context 
  • Exposure to navigating large, complex organisations, ideally with both blue-collar and white-collar workforces 
  • Skilled in developing communication strategies using diverse channels and delivery styles
