Document Controller


Ventia has been awarded a five-year partnership with Telstra to provide lifecycle management and fixed network services for Telstra’s digital infrastructure.


Ventia’s Telecommunication Team is searching for a Document Controller, who will be responsible for efficient control and management of documents from the team as per specification and site-specific Contract Management Plans. Candidates based in WA, QLD, NSW, VIC and TAS are encouraged to apply.

About the Role


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with setting up project filling systems.
  • Maintain Sharepoint file structures and associated metadata 
  • Assist with auditing and reviewing documents
  • Support the develop and implement processes related to document control and management.
  • Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date, including version control.
  • Support the coordination of all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence and designs.
  • Ensure latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable. 
  • Generate the various document control reports as required.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.


Required Skills and Experience  

  • To be successful in your application your experience will ideally include:  
  • Must have 3 + years’ experience in a similar role
  • Competency in MS Office and Sharepoint systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A practical approach with flexible interpersonal and organisational skills 
  • Accurate data entry skills and high-attention to detail. 
  • A demonstrated ability to achieve goals
