About the role:

We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Advisor – Contracts. We are looking for someone who can create, issue, and evaluate bids and award contracts for the acquisition of goods and services and research and development agreements for the Corporation according to contract and Corporation Policies and Standards according to value for money principles.

About you:

There are a few things we would like to see in your CV;

  • Ideally you will have a qualification in a law, or business-related discipline
  • Substantial experience and demonstrated capability in procurement and contract establishment
  • Has sound knowledge of the application of contract and commercial law, and best practice contract principles and practices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of procurement and contract management related legislation, including Acts, Regulations, and industry standards
  • Sound understanding of general conditions of contract for goods and services.
  • Possesses good conceptual and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates well developed negotiation and influencing skills.

What will your work look like?

  • Contribute to the enhancement of contracting processes, including procurement planning, preparing, issuing, and assessing bids and quotations.
  • Preparing bid invitations and calling of bids, negotiating, and resolving commercial and contractual issues during the evaluation process.
  • Managing evaluation meetings and workshops.
  • Developing evaluation plans and reports.
  • Preparing recommendations for acceptance of bids and obtaining approval of such recommendations.
  • Preparing and issuing letters of acceptance, contracts and working documents.
  • Providing contract planning advice, support and consultancy for procurement plans, terms and conditions of contracts to comply with the Corporation’s business needs
