We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader within our Kwinana / Mandurah Resource Recovery team looking after our various Perth metro assets based out of our Kwinana office.

This is a permanent opportunity aimed at motivated, experienced leaders or those looking for a change or development opportunity who can develop, coach, and motivate your team into providing quality delivery of maintenance activities across our complex treatment assets and schemes.

You are an engaging people leader with well-developed communication and leadership skills and have experience managing relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring efficient service is delivered to meet customer needs.

You show leadership by ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety and quality as the priority and are proactive in discussing your observations with your team and contractors regularly, encouraging a supportive and improvement-oriented work environment.

What the role will involve:

  • Lead in identifying and addressing safety improvements and contribute to a positive safety focused culture.
  • Provide leadership and oversight overview of day-to-day maintenance activities and people management of the team.
  • Manage resourcing and the implementation, planning and delivery of civil, general and maintenance activities.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and building a positive achievement-based culture.
  • Monitor and report on the financial and business performance of the team.
  • Actively participate in continuous review and implementation of Contingency Plans and incident management processes
  • Participate in after-hours activities and duty manager standby roster to meet business needs across our metro sites.

Key skills and experience:

  • Trade Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical / Instrumentation or approved alternative (with current electrical licence if applicable)
  • Completion of Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent.
  • Substantial demonstrated experience in the maintenance and reliability improvement of complex treatment processes and/or mechanical processing equipment. (highly desirable - RO/Membrane/ recycled water processes)
  • Experience in a complex process industry, and operations and maintenance environment.
  • Sound communications skillsets, and ability to communicate to various levels of the organisation and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in managing change and developing people and teams.
  • Current WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
