About the role:

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available for a Materials Management & Disposal Coordinator to join our materials Management business unit in our Leederville office. In this role, you will plan, organise, and coordinate activities related to asset disposal through tenders, formal stocktake audits statewide and provide support to the Strategic Procurement Section.

In this role, you would need to have the ability to travel to different sites as required.

Key Skills & experience:

There are a few things that we’ll look for on your CV.

  • To have extensive experience operating in a multi-disciplined engineering focused commercial organisation, specifically in the fields of materials and inventory management.
  • To demonstrate substantial knowledge and proficiency of Warehousing/ Logistics and Distribution methodologies and solutions.
  • To have extensive experience operating or working in various SAP modules and Business Enterprise software (i.e.; Materials/ Inventory Management, Procurement Management and SAP Success Factors).
  • To have substantial experience in data analytics, reporting and stakeholder management.
  • To demonstrate in-depth knowledge and proficiency of Disposals Management methodologies and strategies.
  • To support and coordinate the end-to-end tendering process, related to Disposals Management.
  • To be available for work travel (where required) for stocktake activities.
  • To demonstrated knowledge of, and capability in, the principles and practices of business communications and stakeholder relationship management.
  • To participate constructively as a member of a multi-disciplined team to foster productive relationship and to achieve the joint business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate and contribute positively to the development and implementation of Procurement team’s change initiatives to ensure sustainable and continuing Procurement performance, improvement, and best practice.
  • To facilitate training, to provide support to the Strategic Procurement Section as required.
  • To support in the development and review of Water Corporation Policies, Standards, Guidelines and Work Instructions related to Material Management and Disposals activities.
  • To develop, implement and promote plans and strategies for all disposals, obsolescence, stock, assets, and IT equipment to internal and external customers to ensure compliance.
  • To provide training and support to customers and Alliance contractors in relation to Asset Disposal, Materials Management and Warehousing & Distribution requests and queries.
  • To coordinate and undertake site visits at Water Corporation, Suppliers and Contractors premises in relation to Materials Management activities.
  • To coordinate with the various Requestor (ie; Operational, Projects etc) for disposal requirements.
  • To undertake and adhere to the formal process of disposing of surplus/obsolete stock, equipment, and assets, in accordance with Water Corporation policies, standards and guidelines.
