About the role

An opportunity to progress to the next stage as a Senior Water Operator, based in scenic Dongara, the best place for surfing, body boarding, kite surfing and stand-up paddle boarding, plus a peaceful lifestyle.

The is a permanent role assisting the Team Leader in the operation and maintenance of the water supply and wastewater schemes within the Mid West Region.

What you can expect with this role

  • Participating in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections.
  • Demonstrating leadership by ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the first priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
  • Operating, maintaining, monitoring and repairing water and wastewater assets, operational sites and public facilities as required.
  • Participating in standby, overtime and call out availability rosters as required.

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • A reasonably high degree of leadership and planning skills
  • Certificate III in NWP, as a miniumum
  • Minimum 2 years at Operator Level 4
  • Water Sampler Qualification
  • Confined space, SCBA and/or gas monitoring certifications desirable
  • Ability to work on a standby roster
