Based at the Kelmscott depot, this permanent opportunity will see you operate, monitor, and maintain chemical and water treatment processes, inspect, and maintain dam structures and outlet works, and conduct surveillance to ensure compliance with relevant business management processes and systems.

Proposed start date 2nd June 2025.

What’s involved?

Operation of water production and treatment processes to achieve required water quality and quantity.

Coordinate day-to-day optimisation of the treatment process including monitoring daily performance statistics, fault-finding, and rectification.

Conduct process related activities including basic maintenance, sampling chemical use and site logistics activities.

Monitor scheme performance and liaise with staff and contractors to optimise production, maintenance, and commissioning activities.

Participation in the team roster to provide after-hours support to surface water schemes to support ‘24x7’ operations and provide immediate incident management presence and control of incident sites.

Inspect and maintain dam structures and outlet works in accordance with planned inspection and maintenance schedules.

Operate dam outlet structures, gates, valves, and screens, inspect, and maintain Public Recreation facilities and conduct routine after hour’s patrols and emergency contingencies.

Monitor and sample streams and reservoirs, perform surveillance of surface and ground water catchment areas and monitor land users and public recreation activities to ensure water quality protection.

All work is undertaken with safety as the priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.

  • Dams Safety training desirable
  • Experience with Chlorine, CSE or Fall prevention desirable
